Meaney shot this film on 16mm for the final project in his film production class at Wesleyan University. The original version is taken directly from the film source. The revised version is color corrected, and features some soundtrack revisions.

The film draws its central premise from Grant Morrison's comic book series, The Invisibles. It's also a precursor to Universal Traveler, a more elaborate take on similar themes, starring the same actresses.
